Winter Cat Shelters: Feral and outdoor cats need a warm, dry place to sleep and escape the cold winter winds, snow, and rain. HCF distributes free winter shelters in central PA to people caring for outdoor kitties. Donations of Styrofoam coolers are always needed. Coolers need to be at least 19 inches wide, 14 inches high, and 15 inches deep so a cat has enough room to turn around inside the shelter. If you have coolers that are at least this big that you would like to donate, please contact us for pick-up/drop-off instructions. We also accept donations to purchase coolers for this important project. Help a kitty stay safe and warm this winter!!
